Bathroom Refits Farnham

Turn a dated bathroom into a calmer, cleverer version of itself — reworked layouts, honest material choices and craftsmanship you can still see ten years later. Bathroom refits, refurbishment and renovation across Farnham and the surrounding Surrey and Hampshire border villages.

Refresh, rework, transform

A calmer, cleverer version of the room you already have.

Plenty of bathrooms in Farnham homes were built for a very different way of living — cramped layouts, awkward storage, tired fittings. A well-planned refit reshapes the room around how you actually use it: a proper walk-in shower where the bath never got used, twin basins for the morning rush, tiling that finally makes the room feel calm rather than busy.

  • Over a decade refitting bathrooms in Farnham and Surrey
  • Layout redesign for better flow and daylight
  • Space-saving joinery, vanity units and clever storage
  • Modern sanitaryware paired with timeless materials
  • Full plumbing, electrical and ventilation upgrades
  • Fixed timeline and price — no drift, no surprises

Refit, renovation or refurbishment? What the terms actually mean

People use "refit", "renovation" and "refurbishment" fairly loosely, but in practice a bathroom refit tends to describe one of two rather different pieces of work, and it's worth knowing which one you actually need before you get quotes.

A refresh-style refit keeps the existing layout. The suite, tiling and flooring are replaced like for like, pipework stays broadly where it is, and the room gets a new lease of life in around two weeks. It's the most cost-effective option when the layout already works and it's simply the finishes that have aged.

A full refit or refurbishment strips the room back and reworks it. Fixtures move, waste and supply pipework is re-run, walls are prepared or re-boarded, wet areas are tanked, electrics and ventilation are upgraded and everything is retiled. It takes longer — typically three to four weeks — but it's the only way to fix a layout that has never really worked. If you're going that far, it's effectively a complete bathroom installation, and we'll quote it as one.

Rethinking the layout? Bring in bathroom design first

The refits that make the biggest difference are usually the ones where the layout changes — and layout changes deserve proper planning. Where the room needs re-planning rather than simply refreshing, our bathroom design service looks at the soil pipe, plumbing, structure, doors and windows and puts forward realistic options before anything is committed to.

For a lot of homes around Farnham and Wrecclesham that means challenging the original layout. A little-used bath might give way to a generous walk-in shower with a wall-hung WC beside it. A single basin might become a twin vanity unit that ends the morning bottleneck. Storage that was jammed on a shelf becomes joinery beneath the countertop.

Luxury bathroom refits in Farnham

Larger houses around Tilford, Frensham and Lower Bourne often have bathrooms that were expensive when they were fitted but now feel dated. Luxury bathroom refits bring those rooms up to a modern standard without losing their scale: a freestanding bath as the centrepiece, a walk-in shower with rainfall and handset, double vanities with proper storage, large-format porcelain or natural stone, feature lighting and underfloor heating.

A refit is also your chance to specify materials that will still look right in ten years. We favour large-format porcelain for durability and calm, natural stone where its character earns its keep, engineered stone worktops that resist water and heat, and solid brassware in finishes — brushed brass, matt black, brushed nickel — that age gracefully.

What gets upgraded behind the surfaces

Behind the tiles we take the opportunity to upgrade what you'll never see: fresh first-fix pipework, correctly falling waste pipes, a quiet ducted extractor fan, underfloor heating under stone and porcelain floors, and better hot-water performance where the layout benefits. Tiling is where a refit shows most, and our approach is set out on the bathroom tiling page.

We carry out bathroom refits and refurbishment across Farnham, Wrecclesham, Weybourne, Badshot Lea, Hale, Rowledge, Bentley and Crondall.

The process

From first call to final walk-through.

  1. 01

    Consultation

We visit your home in Farnham or a nearby village, look at how the room is used, take accurate measurements and talk through what's working and what isn't.

  2. 02

    Design

You receive a considered layout with sanitaryware, tile and storage suggestions and, where it helps, a 3D visual so you can see the finished bathroom before it's built.

  3. 03

    Quotation

A fully itemised written quote covering labour, materials, timings and any preparation work — clear, transparent and fixed before we start.

  4. 04

    Installation

Your dedicated team fit the bathroom with dust sheets, daily clean-downs and clear communication throughout — usually two to three weeks on site.

  5. 05

    Final inspection

A detailed walk-through, snagging, aftercare guidance and a written workmanship guarantee — plus we're a phone call away for anything afterwards.

We had no idea what to do with our awkward family bathroom. The design stage sorted it — they came up with a layout we'd never have thought of, then the same team built it. Having one company do both meant nothing got lost along the way, and the finished room is exactly what was drawn.

Our bathroom hadn't been touched since the house was built. The refit moved the shower, added a double vanity and the room now feels twice the size. Tidy, polite, on time and the final bill matched the quote to the penny.

We were nervous about a wet room on the first floor, but the tanking and drainage were explained clearly before anything started. It's completely watertight, the walk-in shower is lovely to use and the tiling is immaculate.

New ensuite in our loft conversion. Small space, but the design made it feel generous. Finished a day early with only two snags, both fixed the same week.

A big master bathroom with a freestanding bath, walk-in shower and stone throughout. The standard of finishing is superb — mitred corners, level floors, every silicone line crisp. Honest advice about where to spend and where not to, which we appreciated.

A tiny bathroom that never worked. They designed it around wall-hung fittings, a walk-in shower and a big mirror, and it genuinely feels like a different room. More than a decade of doing this clearly shows — nothing fazed them.
